At Bird in Hand Pet Structures, we’re here to give your chickens the safest and most comfortable home available. We’ve been building handcrafted Amish-built wooden chicken coops with a wide range of standard features since 2007. Family-owned and operated, we offer our prefab chicken coops across the US through a network of over 150 dealers.

Owner, Elam Miller, started Bird in Hand Pet Structures in 2007, first building chicken coops on his own in his 2-car garage. From the beginning, Elam began partnering with local shed dealers and retailers to offer his products beyond the local area.
As demand for his Amish built chicken coops grew, Elam introduced additional models, hired skilled craftsmen to help with construction, and eventually moved his crew to a bigger facility to support additional production. Currently, Bird in Hand Pet Structures employs 15 craftsmen and partners with over 150 dealers across the US. We’re actively looking to partner with additional dealers to continue our expansion.
